Manufactured from premium Japanese Washi paper, K740 combines an ultra-thin, flat and dense backing with a very low-tack acrylic adhesive, making it ideal for applications where clean removal and surface protection are critical.

The ultra-thin construction allows the tape to sit exceptionally flat against smooth surfaces, helping produce crisp, sharp paint lines while reducing the risk of edge bleed. Despite its lightweight profile, K740 offers excellent tensile strength and can be removed in long strips without tearing or breaking.

Its very low-tack adhesive is designed for delicate surfaces, making K740 particularly useful across heritage buildings, exhibitions, film locations, high-value interiors and display environments where conventional tapes may present too much risk of surface damage.

Heritage & Exhibition Applications

K740 is commonly referred to as Heritage Tape within the exhibition and display industries.

Its wide 72mm format can be applied directly to a delicate wall, floor or finished surface to create a protective sacrificial layer. A narrower, higher-tack double-sided tape can then be applied down the centre of the K740, allowing temporary floor coverings, wall treatments, displays or other materials to be secured without placing the aggressive adhesive directly against the underlying surface.

This makes it particularly useful in museums, galleries, heritage buildings, exhibition venues, historic properties and premium event locations where protecting the existing finish is a priority.
